What is a QR code?
A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that opens a link, joins a Wi-Fi network or starts a message when scanned with a phone camera. Every modern iPhone and Android phone reads QR codes directly from the camera, no extra app needed.
What can you do with this tool?
Link: send people to your website, menu, Google review page or a campaign page.
WhatsApp: scanning opens a WhatsApp chat with you and a prefilled message.
Wi-Fi: guests join your network without typing a password — ideal for cafés, hotels and offices.
Text: share a short note, code or piece of information.
Tips for printing
For reliable scanning use a dark code on a light background; if you pick a color, make sure it is dark enough. On printed material keep the code at least 2 × 2 cm with some empty space around it. For large prints (posters, menu boards) download the SVG — it stays sharp at any size.
When does my QR code stop working?
Codes created here are static: the information is written directly into the code, with no redirect service in between. They never expire and nobody — including us — can switch them off. The only requirement is that the link they point to stays online.
QR code FAQ
Is it really free?+
Yes. No sign-up, no subscription, no time limit. You can use the codes commercially too.
Will my QR code stop working after a while?+
No. The codes are static; the content lives inside the code and is not tied to a subscription. It works as long as the link is online.
Is anything I type stored?+
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser; your link, password or message is never sent to a server.
How do I make a QR code for a restaurant menu?+
If your menu is online, paste its link here to create a QR code. If you want a menu you can update instantly, in multiple languages and with table ordering, take a look at our QR menu solution.
